hello everyone !

it's been a while since an update, so we thought we'd shoot some new things your way.
first and foremost, the new CD "Illuminate" is officially mastered and DONE ! It is set to be released in February of 2008 and we all really anxious for you guys to finally hear it.
...........and word on the street is that santa JUST MIGHT deliver a brand new new song from our album to our myspace just in time for christmas ! ;0)

**UPDATE UPDATE**

We are currently in the studio with producer Matt Malpass in Atlanta, GA working on our new record! We will be here until Thanksgiving of this year... just hanging out, meeting new friends, enjoying this awesome city, and of course recording. We'll be updating a lot with news, funny stories, VIDEOS, and other things from the studio.

The only show we have set right now (because we're in the process of recording) is a hometown holiday charity show on December 23 with bands that are to be announced later. Other than that, once this record is finished around early next year, we'll be off on full-US tours hitting up pretty much every city possible, as well as overseas later on. So we will be seeing you soon!

Also, we'll be giving you guys a chance to hear a SNEAK PREVIEW of some of the new stuff on our website soon, so keep checking back! We're all really excited about this and curious as to what YOU GUYS want to hear from this next record so let us know.

hey all --

i know we've been doing some extreme bulletin posting in the last week or two but that's cause we have so many new things going on to tell yall about!

so first and foremost, we leave for tour TODAY. so excited about that so if you happen to pass a big white van blasting Akon down the highway you'll know its us.

second, a lot of you guys know that this is our first tour in a long time, about 3 months it's been. We've had the time off for writing for the new record, and let me just say that we have 14 songs completely written in which we're going to pick about 11 from to make the record. we start recording for the new cd a couple days after this tour ends, around October 15th in HOTlanta, GA.

we have about 5 demos done already for the new album which is expected to come out on a NEW LABEL (which will be announced within the next couple weeks....) as for our old label, HourZero, is no longer putting out records.
We hope to have the new album released in March 2008 and plan on spending the entire next two years on the road supporting the release. We will then be doing full US and Canada tours... as well as.... (im so happy to announce this..) OVERSEAS for the first time! No exact details yet.. but just know we are finally heading your way and couldn't be more anxious for that.

So things are really REALLY exciting for us right now.. and we're so happy that you guys will be right there with us to experience all these new things. We want to know what YOU GUYS want to hear on this next record and any suggestions you guys may have about anything ..... so drop us some comments... emails... etc. we are working on a tour video right now answering questions & filming everyday tour life.

So make sure to come hang out in the next few weeks to this Umbrellas/Lydia/zookeeper tour if we're around your part of the country...we want to meet you guys...we'll share some laughs, some pizza, some music on our ipods ..haha

So we get some pretty sweet pictures in emails/comments from time to time that really make our day. Well, to be honest any email or comment yall leave really makes our day.

But either way, i made this blog so that you guys could post all the awesome/weird/random pictures you might have of us together with you, or us playing, or just hanging out, or even the pictures that you guys have personally made of you holding signs, or videos of yall singing our songs (which are pretty amazing), whatever...just sharing the love! i've even seen some lydia tattoos (i can't believe they really exist !), aand etc.

this is the first official post of the brand new LYDIA livejournal... so bare with me it's going to be pretty boring til tour starts.

it's exactly a week before we venture our on this next tour with Umbrellas. we're all really stoked about it... it feels good to be getting back out after being home for so long. we will be updating the myspace with tour videos & blogs from the road as well as playing a new song on this tour that we're excited about...so come hang out & tell us how much you love it or hate it afterwards. haha
